What is coordination?
Ans :- The working together of the various organs of an organism so that the different activities occur in a systematic manner is called Coordination.

What is Stimulus?
Ans :- Stimulus is any change in the external or internal environment of an organism which brings about a response from it.

Name the two kinds of coordination in multicellular organisms.
Ans :- The two kinds of coordination in multicellular organisms are :-
a) Chemical coordination and
b) Nervous coordination.
The Nervous coordination is brought about by the nervous system and The Chemical coordination is brought about by hormones.

Name the various parts of a Nervous system.
Ans :- The various parts of a Nervous system in Human beings are :-
a) The Brain,
b) The Spinal Cord
c)The Nerves

What is a Nerve cell or Neuron?
Ans:- A Nerve Cell or Neuron is the structural and functional unit of the Nervous System.

Describe the Structure of the Neuron.
Ans :- Each Neuron consists of three distinct regions - The Cell Body, Dendrites and Axon. Cell Body consists of a nucleus and cytoplasm. Dendrties conduct impulses towards the cell body. In addition, a long fibre called Axon arise from the cell body. It conducts impulses away from the cell body. Nerve cell Transmit information in one direction only. The inforntmation passing through neurons is in the form of electrical and chemical signals called impulse.

What is a Synapse?
Ans :- The functional junction between neurons is called synapse. A synapse is a point of contact between the terminal branches of the Axon of 1 neuron with the dendrites of another neuron. An impulse can travel across a synapse only from an Axon to a Dendrite. A synapse, thus , acts as a valve to prevent the backflow of impulses.

How are electrical impulses transmitted?
Ans :- An electrical impulse travelling down the Axon releases molecules a neurotransmitter(called acetylcholine) in the gap or synapse. The neurotransmitter, after crossing the synapse start a similar electrical impulse in a dendrite of the next neuron. This is how nervous   impulses travel in a body. Finally impulses that delivered from neurons to other cells, such as muscle cells or glands.

what are receptors?
ans- the nerve cells that recieve the information from the environment are called receptors.

Name the various types of receptors
ans-The various types of receptors are
a)gustotary receptors-taste
b)olfactory receptors-smell
c)photo receptors-light
d)phono receptors-sound

Name the variuos parts of nervous system in human beings.
ans - The variuos parts of nervous system in human beings are
a) The Central Nervous System- The Brain and Spinal Cord
b) The Peripheral Nervous System- Nerves arising from the brain(cranial) and nerves arising from the spinal cord(spinal nerves)
c) Autonomic Nervous System- Parasympathetic and Sympathetic.
